WE are now almost at the end of the Keep Your Eye On The Ball “Focus Fortnight” (March 30 to April 12), which aims to get football fans thinking about their testicles and the importance of checking for any unusual lumps or bumps, but the campaign goes on.

The fortnight is run by Everyman, the UK’s leading male cancer campaign, in partnership with the Football Association and the Professional Footballers’ Association. I lent my support by appearing in an advert, which can be seen by logging on to keepyoureyeontheball.org.

It’s a fun way to shed light on a serious issue because if blokes check themselves regularly and catch testicular cancer early, there is a 99 per cent chance of survival.

So, lads, don’t be scared – do something. And ladies, help your man out. Watch out for our adverts in football stadiums across the country and don’t forget to Keep Your Eye on the Ball all year round.
