I READ with incredulity an article in Darlington Borough Council’s Town Crier magazine about the proposed code of conduct for cyclists using the pedestrianised town centre.
The normal Highway Code requirements are never enforced – ie, bells, brakes and lights.
Us oldies who like to walk on the footpath just don’t stand a chance.
Motor traffic has roads and cyclists have footpaths. Please, where do pedestrians walk? Very perplexed.
