WE are coming out of lockdown soon and Darlington Borough Council has recently put signs up on every other lamppost in the town urging people to stay apart (above).
I would like to ask the council, who came up with the idea of the sign so late in lockdown, the cost of production, fitting of this patronising sign, and if there are any jobs going?
Surely the money would have been better spent preventing damage to grass verges and emptying waste bins more often?
I am sorry but this sign has really got to me, like the tannoy in the town centre. I am pleased to get the issue off my chest, and will sleep better this evening. I would like to thank Hear All Sides for giving me the opportunity to do so.
Ross Cooper, Darlington.
