THERE seems to be a number of question marks over attending the Jobcentre to sign on.
Government guidelines say anyone even the mildest of coronavirus symptoms must self-isolate for seven days, so they don’t need to sign on.
The Jobcentre say different, issuing woolly and inconsistent statements.
There are hundreds of people sign on every day.
I signed on last week and everyone was coughing, even the staff.
‘’Discretion of your job centre’’ whether or not to attend your appointment is not good enough if you end up with a sanction.
Jobseekers will simply attend their appointment even if they are experiencing symptoms.
The fear of losing £300 benefit is far more worrying than any virus.
