IT saddens me that vandals have once again struck at Brandon United's Welfare Ground. We are all dumbfounded by some of the many unnecessary things they have managed to do over the last 18 months, such as breaking into the changing rooms causing damage, small fires, graffiti, emptying bins that were full of litter, as well as pushing over small storage containers and recently they took to burning several bins that contained litter and set them alight in the dugouts.
Now, considering the amount of hard work that is being put into the ground by volunteers and the excellent help we receive weekly from the Probations Service, it is very frustrating for all our efforts to be continually disrupted by youths who frequent the ground to hang around to drink alcohol and who actively look for things to destroy.
Another example of the total lack of respect and pride of these scumbags for the community in which they live. I wish they would do us all a favour and grow up.
