SOME of the drivers of electric buggies in Barnard Castle are hell bent on keeping a straight line come what may.

They have no consideration for their speed or the conditions ahead of them. They frighten people out of their wits by coming up behind them and not using a warning bell.

They think they have a divine right to access shops and supermarkets.

A great improvement to this situation would be action by the police to eradicate this unbelievable craze of motorists parking on footpaths. Then pedestrians would have a little more space to avoid the silent danger of the electric buggies.

Footpaths, I believe, were created for pedestrians.
