ONCE again we see this wimpish Government following Margaret Thatcher's lead of "I'm always right" and declaring - through the new Highway Code - that smoking while driving is an offence.
Apparently it can cause an accident due to lack of concentration and distraction.
What next? Attractive women must use the side and back streets as they could cause an accident by distracting male drivers who are passing.
Watch any news programme on TV and it appears that every other vehicle that passes the driver has a mobile phone next to their ear and held in place with one hand, another offence created by this nanny' Government which, due to the fact that police cars are only used to transport senior officers about, is not enforced.
When is New Labour going to stop passing rules for the sake of passing them and concentrate on implementing those it has already passed?
