SPEAKING at their annual conference, Labour's Foreign Minister, David Miliband once again denies the people of the UK a vote on the European Union constitutional treaty.
Conservative William Hague is right to keep the pressure on for a democratic vote, despite his party being a pro-European party nowadays.
The pressure building on Gordon Brown must now be immense, as he has to decide if he goes with a snap General Election in October/November or not.
If not, then his next option will be a General Election to coincide with the 2009 spring European Union elections. If he has denied the UK public a vote on the treaty by then, then he may suffer badly in both the Euro and General Elections as people get their own back on two fronts.
