RE recent correspondence about bus pass rows. I can't believe children have to have a bus or their parents to get them to school.
I attended St Mary's Grammar School (now called Carmel), Darlington, from 1957 until 1962 when I lived at Middleton St George and most days biked there.
If not, we got the number 22 bus to the old Leadyard and then another bus (7A) to the top of Abbey Road by Carmel Road and then walked up the drive to school. What is up with today's kids and their parents?
