WHEN have we ever had an election for a Prime Minister? We elect our MP on the basis of his/her aims being closer to ours than other candidates. Likeminded MPs band together and give themselves a name, such as the Tory party.

From those members they elect a leader who, if they are in the majority, becomes Prime Minister.

The party is free to change its leader and has exercised this right many times throughout Parliament's history.

Did John Major have to call an election after Margaret Thatcher was dismissed by the Tory Party?

The issue here is should we have a Scot formulating policies which do not affect his own constituents?

Until I get equality of care, schooling and health with other parts of the UK I will never be satisfied with any UK parliament.

I want equal treatment for all the UK citizens and we are now reaping the results of the folly of devolution and perhaps the UK's break-up.

Some Scots will never be satisfied until they have total home rule.

Hopefully, that will make them ineligible for election to our Parliament.

I may, however, have to emigrate there to receive fair treatment. I am part Scot on my mother's side.
