ON October 4, my football club, Richmond Mavericks, will be going on tour to Sri Lanka. We are playing four games and will be hosted by Saunders SC, a Sri Lankan Premier League team.
Saunders are based in a poor part of Colombo, and every night hundreds of youngsters play in fake Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester United tops. As thanks for hosting us, we hope to give them as many "real" English tops as possible.
If anyone would like to donate one, please do so at The Northern Echo front counter, Priestgate, Darlington. The newer the better, but all will be hugely appreciated.
