THERE'S a rumour that people of 70 are no longer fit to drive through poor eyesight, don't know the Highway Code, etc.
Well, specs can be obtained at the opticians, the Highway Code signs can be learned from the appropriate booklet, poor hearing can be helped, 70 is the new 50, reactions can be helped by road awareness, looking ahead, anticipating impatient road hogs, traffic bunching, not going fast.
Insurance companies can verify that those most likely to have an accident are below 20, driving an untested, untaxed banger.
