MAY I take this opportunity to thank those people that fought hard to save Darlington’s library in Crown Street.
I know a lot of time was spent trying to keep it open, and I understand that money had to be raised to take it to court and the original outcome was not great. A lot of people will agree it was worth the fight and I congratulate all involved.
We, as Liberal Democrats, listened and supported you through this campaign to keep our library and not have it placed in the Dolphin Centre.
It is satisfying to see Darlington Bough Council actually listens to its residents sometimes.
Lynda Daynes, chairman, Darlington and Sedgefield Liberal Democrats
