I WATCHED the memorial service to Princess Diana on TV and one of her closest friends remarked that this was not what Diana would have wanted - far too formal.
Princes William and Harry meant well, but the hand of the palace PR men was all too evident. The endless waiting for all the Royals to turn up - in shirt order of protocol of course.
The young princes received a cheer from the crowd as did the Queen, but when Charles got out of his car he was greeted with jeers and silence - which tells you all.
The Bishop of London said the service marked the point at which Diana should now be allowed to rest, but I disagree.
Diana's memory will haunt Charles and Camilla and the media should make sure they are not allowed to forget the lovely girl who was so cruelly treated by the Royals - apart from her sons, of course.
