THERE are several inaccuracies in Steve Turner's letter (HAS, Sept 1).
Firstly, Hartlepool is a unitary authority not a district council.
Secondly, I am a ward councillor for St Hilda - there is no "Headland Ward". St Hilda includes Central Estate, Bakers Mead, West View, a section of Powlet Road and the Headland.
Thirdly, Hurworth Burn is in Sedgefield, not Easington.
And, finally, I do not possess a "private drive" of any kind, let alone one a mile long.
Isn't it interesting that when people like Mr Turner have no answers to any points I make then they resort to personal attacks completely irrelevant to the matter under discussion.
It is this type of behaviour that brings politics even further into disrepute in the public eye. Mr Turner might just as well have said his dad could fight my dad; it's about the level of his "argument".
