MY grandson asked me why there was always bad news on television and in the newspapers. Without hesitation, I told him it was because of greedy, trigger-happy governments which like to make everyone's life a complete misery.
And that's just Britain.
Didn't life used to be generally happy without worrying about high bills, uncontrolled yobs, speed cameras, illegal immigrants and now bad weather?
We need a strong leader who will deliver the kind of Britain we all desire - police on the beat, capital punishment, National Service, the banning of money-grabbing speed cameras and a rethinking of the human rights fiasco.
That will do to start with. Then perhaps my great grandson would say to me: Isn't life wonderful, Grandad?
