I WAS interested in what columnist Harry Mead had to say on the subject of favourite views and landscapes (Echo, Aug 15).
A scenic view that has stayed with me since childhood is the sight of Saltburn Bay in the summer as seen from our old Church of England school at Brotton.
The school was situated at the top of a hill and, during an outdoor art class we were having one day, a fellow pupil remarked: "Saltburn looks good, doesn't it?"
With the sea at the shoreline a beautiful blue, it did indeed look good.
