I READ of the summer market spectacular to be held in Darlington this weekend - 300 market stalls will fill Bondgate, Northgate, Blackwellgate, High Row and West Row, while street entertainment will be taking place at various locations in the town centre and at the Market Cross.
This brings into question the idiotic decision of Darlington Borough Council to allow cycling in a pedestrian area.
Surely, common sense will prevail, and action will be taken to ban cycling - at least for this weekend.
The safety of pedestrians should be paramount.
