IT appears Channel 4 is being subjected to police investigations (Echo, Aug 9) over the screening of two of its Dispatches programmes, both of which attempt to expose Muslim extremism.
This will no doubt be seen by those who viewed these programmes as an attempt to control the freedom of the Press. Personally, I applaud Channel 4's commissioning editor, Kevin Sutcliffe, and the Dispatches team for bravely tackling a subject many in the Government and media are too afraid to confront.
As a 60-year-old who left school at 15 with no qualifications I have great difficulty understanding the reasoning of our university-educated politicians.
For example, they encourage different religions to expand in Britain by allowing religious minorities to build their own places of worship.
Why, when Britain has endured centuries of conflict dealing with its own religious beliefs?
I suppose I will just have to grin and bear it for a few years and when the trouble starts, as it surely will, I will be able to write to Hear All Sides and say I told you so.
