REGARDING your story about the three teenagers believed to have plotted to get themselves rescued by RAF helicopter from St Mary's Island, off Whitley Bay, North Tyneside (Echo, Aug 2).
Can I suggest they pay the costs of that trip, now; that they are never allowed a driving licence; and that they can only have ambulance and other help if needed if they pay, for life.
Make an example of these three and there will be no more stupid stunts.
