HEAR ALL SIDES: Letters to the Editor
IN reply to Dave Hodgson re funeral costs (HAS, Sept 6). My husband died in April this year.
I booked a cardboard coffin, a humanist service at the crematorium, a hearse with one car, a single rose and card and a small announcement in the paper.
This cost more than £4,000!
Start saving now Dave, because the cost will rise just as surely as the soul will. Us oldies can’t afford to retire and our families can’t afford to bury us.
