MANY congratulations to all those young people who achieved the GCSE results that they went in for.
However those that didn’t get the results they aimed for shouldn’t get despondent.
There will be other opportunities. I do believe that pupils do have too many tests during their school years, hence maybe do what other countries do and have only one main final testing examination.
Teachers are forever getting stretched by ever changing government education legislation.
It may be good to have a few years of stability so everyone can draw breath, but that appears unlikely, as the present government has attempted to enhance grammar schools and brought in a new grading scoring system nine to one, which evidently is causing some employers confusion.
