THE Government has rightly increased the punishment for those caught using their mobile phones while driving (Echo, Mar 1).
In order to warn people about the dangers of texting while driving the film director by Peter Watkins-Hughes, with the assistance of Gwent Police and Tredegar Comprehensive School, made a powerful 30 minute film called Cow, aka “Only Stwpd Cowz Txt N Drive”.
Such is the powerful graphic no holds barred depiction of the consequences of an car crash caused by someone texting that the full version is shown to driving students in the United Kingdom.
I urge those who are tempted to use their phone to talk or text while driving to watch this video and seriously think about their actions.
