WHAT a pity David Lacey has it in for the Scots (HAS, May 23).

The main plank in his argument seems to be that Scots per head of population receive more cash from the Westminster government.

Surely he is aware that many English regions have similar disparity in their share of the national purse, so why pick on the Scots? Why does he not come clean? He is an avid English nationalist and the Scots are an easy target.

If the Scots do achieve independence and sell their oil, instead of sharing it, he may well whistle a different tune.
