IT appears that some people are against Gordon Brown becoming Prime Minister as he is Scottish.
Could I just remind people that Tony Blair was born in Edinburgh, and that we have had a Scotsman in power at Downing Street for the last ten years.
The fact that Gordon Brown is from Scotland does not concern me.
It is his policies and those of the Labour Party that has my alarm bells ringing. Bing, bong, bing.
Christopher Wardell, Darlington.
TONY Blair apparently thinks he's done a great job for the UK and for his constituents as he steps down.
Gordon Brown believes he will win the next General Election for Labour and Hugh Pender (HAS, May 10) asserts that Scotland without England is well able to support its health service, education, etc.
We seem to be surrounded by deluded Scots.
David Lacey, Newton Hall, Durham.
