I REALLY cannot understand some Newcastle United supporters. They are now moaning because it is rumoured that Sam Allardyce is to become their new manager.
Not long ago they were shouting from the rooftops for Glenn Roeder to leave the club. Now they have their wish, they should leave it to the club to find a suitable replacement.
One thing is for sure. Sam Allardyce would be a much better manager than Messrs Souness and Roeder, and if Big Sam was to become the new coach of my beloved Manchester City, then I and many other City fans would welcome him with open arms.
It's about time that Newcastle fans realise that they are not a successful club any more, thus making it hard for them to attract the top managers to their vacant post.
Christopher Wardell, Darlington.
