ISN'T it so refreshing to think that Jonathan Woodgate prefers to play for his hometown club, Middlesbrough, rather than go back to Real Madrid, one of the biggest clubs in the world, to try and win medals?

He could have chosen to play for any of the top four Premiership clubs, namely Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal or Chelsea, and could have won loads of honours.

He chose to play where his happiness lies, at Middlesbrough, even though they are only a midtable Premiership club.

It's great to think that he wants to make his hometown club into a better club. If more people could be like him, and choose happiness rather than prestige, what a much better world this would be.
