I FEEL I must write to congratulate you all at The Northern Echo on the wonderful Remembrance Sunday edition of the paper, which I bought.

I am sure it was a huge team effort over a long period to put it all together.

I collected mine, having ordered it, as I carried out my duty as Mayor of Malton.

As you will know it was a busy time for Mayors; in fact, a busy weekend.

I hope all the events went well in Darlington over the weekend. I was thinking about it while I was at my Festival of Remembrance here in Malton and of my connections with the town.

Congratulations again on such a very special paper, it is very moving and stirs up many thoughts.
