ROLL on July 7. By then this stupid cycle race, which does not even have an English name, will have been and gone and something may be done to repair the potholes in the rural roads of North Yorkshire.
I am tired of trying to dodge the potholes to avoid damage to the suspension of my car.
I can think of one short piece of road where there must be more than a dozen potholes in the space of less than 100 yards.
But, instead of resurfacing the whole strip, the potholes have been marked out in individual squares for repair.
Come the winter frosts, I am sure the potholes will reappear.
Malcolm Neesam, Thirsk.
