THE Government recently published the Infrastructure Bill in the Queen’s speech.

It includes making it easier for energy firms to dig fracking wells under people’s property without their permission and alters the law of trespass to allow it.

I have just sent a message to Bishop Auckland MP Helen Goodman asking her to oppose this bill. Fracking causes massive environmental destruction by pumping toxic chemicals into the ground, many of which are carcinogenic and mutagenic.

It also damages people’s ability to sell, insure or develop their homes.

The sooner this useless bill is thrown out the better.
