I HOPE most men will support the campaign to make rape pornography illegal for which Professor Clare McGlynn is a key campaigner (Echo, Feb 27).
It is good that this campaign has the support of David Cameron.
A ban should go some way to make sex and relationships better understood and may have an impact on a related problem of violence of men against their partners and ex-partners which is a problem not, as yet, handled well by the police With the advent of the internet, much evil is out of the bag. Internet service providers have a responsibility to monitor what is searched by subscribers.
I hope a law is devised which can meet the need to prevent the damage that can be done to the vulnerable.
The Northern Echo is right to give this campaign the prominence it has.
G Bulmer, Billingham.
