WAYNE ROONEY recently signed a new contract that will keep him at Manchester United for the rest of his career (Echo, Feb 22).
He is to receive £300,000 a week simply for kicking a small bag of wind around for 90 minutes.
This sum is more than David Cameron gets for running the entire country for a whole year.
At least the tax man should not have too much difficulty claiming Rooney’s taxes as everybody in the country knows his income -–or am I being too naive in believing the rich actually pay their taxes?
