I WAS on the Edinburgh train heading south during last week’s storm (Echo, Feb 13).
We had our own delays with debris on the line and became embroiled in the delays that caught the north-bound train.
While I wouldn’t choose to spend seven hours just getting from Edinburgh to York, it was quite sociable.
I just wanted to say the East Coast staff team were brilliant.
They kept us informed about what was going on, served complimentary drinks and made sure we eventually caught other connections etc.
The staff deserve recognition for working their socks off.
It was a crazy night, but I had confidence in the East Coast team.
