MICHAEL GOVE, the education secretary, wants schools to stay open longer (Echo, Feb 3).
The proposed school times, from 9am to 6pm, could be a danger in dark winter months for pupils leaving school to go home.
After a long day not having much time to relax with they will be too exhausted to do homework and tired out next day.
