DURHAM county councillor Olwyn Gunn remarks that food banks started under this Government (HAS, Jan 31).
She will be well aware that food banks have been around in some form for considerable time, but more organised methods have pretty much grown exponentially since around 2004 and continue to do so.
Any person with a right-ofcentre view on life is, in the eyes of the politically motivated leftie, not enlightened enough to offer support to others in need.
This is simply not true at all.
