MY great grandfather was a miner from Eldon Bank, in County Durham. Our family has a miner’s lamp. My mother told me that it belonged to him.
My aunt’s family say it was bought.
It has a serial number, so is there a register of who owned which lamp so we can settle this dispute – do we have a precious family heirloom or something only fit for eBay?
