I AM writing regarding the recent so-called Christian festival in Darlington (Echo, May 23).
I would like to know who agreed to this chaos and who is going to pay for the clean up of the mud and disruption caused by it? I suppose it will be the Darlington council taxpayer once again.
It is an absolute disgrace that these so-called Christian travellers can come to Darlington, dump their caravans where they want and cause absolute havoc.
If a law-abiding motorist made a simple mistake we would be fined and if a road had to be closed because we put it in a dangerous position due to mud etc we would end up with the bill to clean it up. I hope whoever authorised this festival has been sacked.
I don’t know what they think Darlington is, but it’s not a dump.
