I WOULD like to thank everyone who voted for me in the recent local county council elections.
Their support during my term in office is most appreciated.
I would like to point out that the council tax freeze during recent years was mainly due to the Coalition Government.
I still have two local issues outstanding.
The safety aspect of the twin ponds, between Kirkdale and Burton Beck, in Spennymoor, are still a concern to local people.
Work appears to have come to a sudden standstill. The surface water and the damage done to the rural path are the main concerns.
The second is the demolition of Festival Walk on which I have campaigned.
I would like Durham County regeneration officers to give me feedback when progress is made.
Ben Ord, Liberal Democrat, Spennymoor.
