GEOFFREY BULMER is either naive or is one of those people who believes everything those in the establishment tell them (HAS, Mar 20).
If it had not been for the press we would not have known about the MPs’ expenses scandal, for instance, and many other issues that affect the lives of the majority in this nation.
Apart from that, a lot of people use the web which is something that even the establishment can't stop, unless we are going down the road of Big Brother which seems to be the case he is advocating.
Politicians and others are itching to get their own back on the press and it will be at the expense of the majority who have no say in the matter.
Democracy is a joke in this country and we are the mugs that allow it because we have not the intelligence to think for ourselves.
John Young, Crook.
