LUNCHTIME television has been talking about people having a stroke. My mother is 92 and she has had one or two small strokes which happened in the night. As she lives alone, it’s hard.
She had one on Saturday night and when I went to her at 7am, she could not walk nor hold a glass to drink water to take her tablets.
When folk in this position call for help, someone on the other end of the phone starts asking silly questions. She was in such a state because all she wanted to do was to go back to her bed and not get taken into hospital.
