I AGREE with Ken Orton, of Ferryhill, that lots of people love a glass of wine with a meal or after work or for special occasions (HAS, Oct 21).
People become alcoholics because they have nothing else to do or they are trying to block something out of their lives.
They are sad and I do feel for them they need help.
They will buy alcohol no matter what it cost.
Children drink because some parents buy it for them or they get someone who is of age to buy it. I know this because I know people who do it.
Why should alcohol just be for rich people?
I love a glass of wine and it lasts me for two or three hours. I possibly drink a bottle in a year.
Does that mean I have an unhealthy relationship with alcohol?
