IN BETWEEN making mud-pies, Jo Whiley is joined by Sunderland’s Lauren Laverne, Zane Lowe and Mark Radcliffe, as the hosts across the weekend, introducing live coverage of all Main Stage headliner sets at Glastonbury 2011.
Tonight’s coverage kicks off with U2’s headline slot live until 10.30pm (switch over to BBC4 for coverage from 10.30pm to 11pm). Then the fans of major music can return to BBC2 at 11pm.
BBC2 is also showcasing Cee Lo Green’s performance from the West Holts Stage.
On BBC3, from 7pm to 10pm, Fearne Cotton and Reggie Yates bring viewers live sets and highlights from Worthy Farm. The highlight here is the Mumford and Sons’ live set from the Other Stage.
On BBC4, from 8pm to 11.05pm, Mark Radcliffe fronts coverage over the weekend, which opens with BB King, Morrissey and Jimmy Cliff.
Glastonbury coverage continues on Saturday and Sunday. Acts include Coldplay, Elbow, Paolo Nutini, Rumer, Beyonce, Pendulum, Plan B, Paul Simon and Don McLean.
ALAN TITCHMARSH has proved to be far more than a green-fingered guru and has turned his hand to bloomin’ allsorts.
The fact that he’s proved to be such a hit with housewives across the land has not done him any harm, but this latest series, Love Your Garden, brings the gardener right back to the roots of his passion and searching for Britain’s most beautiful domestic gardens.
