New fashion label Mint Velvet promises stylish outfits for busy women.

EXCITING new women’s wear brand Mint Velvet is coming to the North-East.

To celebrate the launch at Binns, in Darlington, there’s a 15 per cent discount on their fabulous autumn/winter collection for all readers of The Northern Echo online and in store until November 23.

Mint Velvet is the brainchild of three women with an impressive fashion background who were frustrated by the lack of modern, relaxed yet glamorous clothes that reflected their lifestyles at affordable prices.

So they came up with their own label, which combines modern silhouettes with luxury fabrics.

“We want to give women an inner confidence by translating the musthave items into easily wearable pieces,” says co-founder and brand director Liz Houghton.

The autumn/winter collection combines stylish basics with beautiful prints, individual detailing and refined textures. Materials for autumn feature cashmere mixes, silks, satins, velvets and refined jersey and key items include oversized and layered knits, tunic dresses, strong shoulder lines, skinny trousers and fitted denim. A range of stunning accessories – soft suede bags, cashmere wraps and beautiful statement jewellery – complete the look. “We understand how busy women are today and how hard it can be to put the latest looks together stylishly, so we have created versatile capsule ranges that go together seamlessly for modern living,” says design director Jane Rawlings.
