AS always, the BBC is doing everything it can to ensure those not fortunate enough to attend the Chelsea Flower Show can get the full experience from the comfort of their own homes, and today’s offerings will be a real treat for fans of both traditional and contemporary gardens – not to mention royalists.
Prince Harry may be best-known for being a member of the Armed Forces, his love life and certain compromising photos, but he also likes a spot of horticulture too, which is why he’s commissioned a garden for Chelsea this year – and viewers can look at it in this programme.
Other highlights include a chat with an orchid-growing firm which has exhibited at Chelsea every year since 1913, and a catch-up with the South Africans who are trying to emulate the style of one of the show’s earliest stands.
