STEPHEN TOMPKINSON has been seen on screen as a reporter, a priest, a construction worker, a vet and currently as dogged and determined cop DCI Alan Banks.
In DCI Banks, the detective and his new right-hand woman, DI Morton investigate when a professional hit-man bursts into the luxurious house of Keith Rothwell and shoots him at close range.
What strikes Banks, though, are the strange reactions of the victim’s family and it soon becomes evident that Rothwell has been living a secret double-life. Seemingly, Banks finds himself involved in a high-profile fraud investigation that pits him against an old police rival.
The case also brings about personal issues for the detectives, as Morton continues to struggle to fit into her new environment.
