We’ve teamed up with Saks to show you some gorgeous and wearable looks that are bang on trend for spring 2010 – and there’s a chance of winning your own stunning makeover.

ONE TO LONG FOR

Long hair is as popular as ever. On this shape the Saks team has used a razor to create a soft outline with long layers to give a lived-in feel. Caramel hues are applied using a paint-on technique to give a sun-kissed, lowmaintenance result.

MAKE IT BIG

Big hair is back, and the bigger the better. Head-hugging layers help to create volume while carve-cutting random areas helps to give support and longevity to the shape. A low side parting gives a sexy eye-skimming result. The colour is bold and beautiful. Three different copper tones were used all over the hair to create definition.

TOP QUALITY

Sophistication, high polish and a musthave centre parting are the key inspirations for this quality look. The onelength shape is created using point cutting, which helps the hair to swing beautifully and then fall immaculately back into place. The softedge, peep-through fringe adds femininity and frames any face shape. The lightcatching colour shows multi-dimensional tones and flecks of mahogany, raspberry and plum.

SHINING EXAMPLE

This iconic bob shape is created using a blunt cutting technique to achieve a square outline. It is accessorised with an arched, eye-browskimming fringe for maximum effect. The colour is a dark inky brown and has been chosen for ultimate shine and polish and to give a sultry silhouette.

FLIRTY FRINGE

The shortest shape in the collection is cut using a razor to achieve a soft feminine outline.

The layers are heavy and faceframing, forming a versatile, graduated look. Copper-blonde tones add softness to this shorter shape while apricot, caramel and toffee hues enhance the flirty fringe.

MAKING MOVES

This cut can be adapted to different lengths to suit any face or head shape. The big trend for men is to have extra length and movement through the front of the hair. It should be free-flowing, but always masculine. A structured outline with texture is key. A cool brunette colour adds density.

GOLDEN GIRL

A central parting is key to this rock chick shape. It shouts effortless cool and sex appeal. Faceframing layers and a shattered outline complete the look.

The colour incorporates hues of marshmallow and champagne and metallics like bronze and gold.
