A HIGH street chemist is set to get new signage as part of a national rebranding scheme.
Boots in Richmond is seeking advertisement consent to display several replacement advertisements at their store at 15 - 16 Market Place, Richmond.
According to a planning statement submitted to Richmondshire District Council on behalf of the firm: "The rebranding of Boots involves using a darker blue colour scheme but largely keeping the same simplicity of the existing arrangement which would align well with the existing buildings.

"Using the existing fascia sign for the insertion of new text allows for continuity which would not disrupt the form and characteristics of the buildings.
"The refurbishment of the existing projecting sign will see no significant deviation from the existing arrangement.
"The overall scheme is simplistic in nature and the development provides the building with a balanced arrangement on the front facing elevation of the building.
"The use of minimal external lighting is considered appropriate and consistent with other premises in the area, many of which are also listed buildings."
