Shoppers have been left gutted after closing down sale posters have appeared in the windows of a popular music store in the Metrocentre.
JG Windows at Gateshead Metrocentre's Yellow Mall sells a range of musical instruments, accessories and sheet music, and has been popular with visitors for years.

But posters saying 'end of lease closing down sale' have now appeared in store windows.
JG Windows is one of the oldest and most respected music businesses in the UK, having been founded in 1908.
It has another site in Newcasle's Central Arcade, an elegant Edwardian shopping arcade in the heart of the city centre. The shop celebrated its one hundred year anniversary in 2008.
In the summer of 2015, the Newcastle store benefited from a huge expansion to its first-floor showrooms, almost doubling the store's floor space.
This enabled the firm to offer a greater range of instruments and equipment and has created a more comfortable shopping environment for customers.
