A CHILDREN’S charity is encouraging successful New Year dieters to source their new wardrobe in its stores across the region.
Barnardo’s is reminding those who are beginning to see the benefits of their healthy regime, to check out its charity shops for inexpensive and good quality clothing to fit their slim, new frame.
The charity has stores across the region, including Consett, Bishop Auckland, Tow Law, Newton Aycliffe, Barnard Castle, Middlesbrough and Hartlepool.
Barnardo’s North East retail manager Jo Strachan said: “We are seeing a trend of customers who have lost weight on a January diet, but because they’re hoping to lose more weight, don’t want to spend a fortune on a whole new wardrobe just yet, so they’re visiting Barnardo’s shops to stock up on affordable in-between sizes.”
She added: “As well as providing clothes for dieters, we are also keen to receive donations of clothes which no longer fit the successful dieter!”
