EIGHT people appeared in court charged with violent disorder this morning (TUESDAY FEBRUARY 11) in relation to a pub brawl in Middlesbrough in October.
All eight appeared together before district judge Kristina Harrison at Teesside Magistrates Court, in relation to an incident at the Park Hotel in Linthorpe Village. No pleas were entered in the brief hearing this morning.
Andrew Sloan, 23, of Coral Grove, Stockton, Jenny Futo, 24, of York Road, Middlesbrough, Justin Charles Heward, 23, of Harrow Road, Middlesbrough, Benjamin John Jones, 23, of Hesleden Avenue, Middlesbrough, Mark Anthony Dobbing, 27, of Lansdowne Road, Thornaby, Christopher Bennett, 23, of Chadderton Drive, Thornaby, Cain George Conroy, 36, of Slaley Close, New Marske, Redcar, and Blaine Patrick McCarthy, 21, of Blackhall Sands, Middlesbrough, all spoke only to confirm their names and addresses.
The case was sent to Teesside Crown Court, where the defendants will appear on February 25. A total of 16 people have been charged in connection with the disturbance and the other eight will appear before Teesside Magistrates tomorrow (Wednesday February 12).
